I would like to find a card with a fast processor, a bunch of RAM, a prototyping area, and some software support. Since this will go in workstations, VME bus seems most appropriate. The closest card I know of is Apple's Macintosh Coprocessor Card, with a 68000, 512K RAM, and a real-time OS for the on-board processor, but this is for the Nubus, not VME.
