The drivers for backing up data are the standard dump, tar, cpio & dd that you all know & love but the nice feature was the install script that came with the unit. It did the whole installation automatically & successfully. I've also heard good things about the Delta Microsystems version of the Exabyte unit, though I have no first hand knowledge about it. The good points are their software interfaces to manage the tape drive. They do run under Sunview and can give you status information about the tape and other nice features.
