I need the following information on the Sparkstation 1: 1. How many terminals (plain terminals like vt100 or tvi950 as well as Sun graphics terminals) can be directly connected to the Sparkstation 1? 2. How many people get onto the machine at the same time without any noticeable decline in speed and performance? 3. Can this machine support up to 2 gigabytes of hard disk space? 4. Is there a way that the machine can be connected to the Internet using high-speed modems so that we can use ftp and telnet in their full functionality? These are the questions I have right now. I am considering buying a Sparkstation 1 for a research project that deals with huge databases. Do any of you have some experience with SAS under SunOs? Have you had and problem with SAS in dealing with big data set (bigger than 20 megabyte)? I would appreciate any help coming in my way. Please e-mail me. Thanks in advance, Min
