We are running (trying) an application that gets errors due to exceeding
both number of windows created and number of file descriptors.  The
machine is a 4/260 which hosts a TAAC graphics accel.  We are trying to
open somewhere between 16 and 20 windows and they connect to many sockets,
which then gives the file descriptor exceeded message.  I have tried to
increase the number of MAXUSERS, but that does not help.  If you email
