On a live /home directory with lots of I/O, the fragmentation percentage never seems to exeed 1.5 %. (4/280 2*890MB 32Mb mem) Also, sometimes SUNOS barfs at console that my news spool filesystem changes optimalisation to maximum storage. I grepped through my SYSADMIN books, but I cannot find a clear explanation. Does SUNOS 4.0.X something with on line defragmentation and optimalisation?? Any suggestions welcome, Please Email.
