Message-ID: <1990Feb7.180935.17509@eng.umd.edu> Date: 7 Feb 90 18:09:35 GMT Sender: news@eng.umd.edu (The News System) Organization: Maryversity of Uniland, College Park Lines: 19 Well, I got the visual 603 working...there is a 1.5uF capacitor (non-polar high frequency) located right between the flyback transformer and the horizontal deflection coils. It was fried...I replaced it with a ceramic monolithic capacitor, and the terminal worked! But after a tilting it on its front (to adjust something), I cannot get it to work at all. When turned on, it sometimes beeps (and flashes keyboard led's) ONCE quickly, and sits there -- no high frequency hum from the video. Sometimes, nothing at all happens. Any ideas? I'm looking into possible loose connections (since I had to remove the video board to fix it) which may have resulted from tipping the terminal, but I dunno...these things ARE very unreliable....Thanks to all those who responded to my first plea. - -= Allon =- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a test of the emergency signature system.
