  Twice within the last two months when I've had a disk fill up
to above 98% of capacity, my printer interface files in /usr/spool/lp/
interface have "gone away".  Poof, they're gone.  
 
  The first time I attributed it to just being a weirdo Xenix
problem that you never,ever see again.  After a two hours of so
of re-creating lpinit and finding out what device the printers
were on, I got the printers up and running again.  Two weeks ago,
it happened again and I was better prepared.

  My question is, Do weird lp problems happen to OTHER people
out there too??  One of my favorites is the lpsched stopping 
because of a problem printer.  You can't remove the printer
because lpinit insists that isn't there, and you can't add
it because it already exists.  A real catch-22.  If you ignore
lpinit complaints and add/remove/add/remove--then you can
really get rid of it.  Why does Xenix wipeout the printer
interface files FIRST when it is running out of disk space?
