I am interested in generating a version of gcc which will function
as a cross-compiler between a SPARCstation 1 and a SUN 3/E.  Has
this been done?  Can it be done easily?  

I would also like to know if there is a manual for the GNU assembler
which would outline the syntax of the input files for SPARC and mc68k
machine types.
