Since then I |have been seeing a Chiropractor who has helped enormously. Last |week he and I sat down after my 'adjustment' session and he |explained what he hoped to accomplish overall. One thing he stated |was that when the back was in good adjustment and pressure was |releived from the central and peripheral nervous systems there was |often overall benefits including reduction or elimination of |migraine headaches. | |At the time this was of only incidental interest to me since I do |not get migraine headaches, but upon reading your message his words |popped to the surface. Has anyone else on this echo attempted pain |reduction through chiropracty? The chiropractor I occasionally use, claims that approx. 70% of his clients have problems with migraine to some degree, often accompanied by other problems. He claims that he has had "good" success in reducing or eliminating migraine attacks. Disclaimer: I went to him for back pain (he does a good job alleviating that), but not for migraine, so I don't speak from personal experience. On the other hand, this guy is pretty honest (unlike some other DCs I've had the misfortune of using); so I'm inclined to believe that his treatment does work for at least some migraine cases. -- ---------- Ed Arnold * era@ncar.ucar.edu * era@ncario [bitnet] * ...!ncar!era [uucp]
