My opthamologist has told me that I am slowly loosing my visual acuity and ability to resolve small differences i.e. characters! He has suggested that to reduce the strain on my eyes that I move from my current platform (Zenith AT using CGA on a mono monitor) to as large a monitor as possible with as much resolution as possible and color. Don't you wish you had a doctor like this.:-) Unfortunately, the rather unscientific testing that I have done has led me to the unmistakable conclusion that things don't get better until I get into the 1024 by 768 range or better. Does anyone know of a monitor/card combination that would give me at least 1024 by 768 in color (16 will do but 256 is better) for the IBM DOS world. I run mostly regular DOS type software like Lotus products, WordPerfect, etc. I also run Windows/286 and Ventura. The only other program ;that is somewhat special is CADKEY 3. Please send email if you have any info.
