Great to see you back around. Guess you've been as busy as I. Sometimes users on a BBS don't realize that the SysOps have a life outside of BBSing. (grin I've never been able to wear aids and I doubt if I could adjust to them now if I could. Guess we tend to get set in our ways. I know I do. I don't think I could even adjust to hearing sounds now if surgery or even a cochlea implant would help. Nah, you're not wearing out... remember, we're "well seasoned"....(HA HA) A number of my hearing friends love my telecaption decoders. One very close friend who is a remedial reading teacher thought it was wonderful but he is like me, thinks the captioning could be improved. Usually the series or sitcoms are not too bad but it's the live world news that is really difficult to follow at times. I watch NightLine quite a bit late at night and sometimes it gets rather hard to follow. Ah...so your favorite shows are on the NBC network also. Mine are LA Law and Matlock. I tend to watch the movies on HBO, ShowTime, Movie Channel and Disney more than anything, especially those I've not watched on videocassettes. I can hardly wait until "Born on the 4th of July" and "Driving Miss Daisy" come out on video. Have heard they're both wonderful movies. Have you seen them yet I wish David Letterman or The Tonight Show were captioned. The very close friend that I mentioned earlier (remedial reading teacher) taped a Johnny Carson episode for me summer before last when my cousin, Bill Clinton (Governor of Arkansas) was a guest. He then listened to it and transcribed it to a file on his BBS for me to download. It was wonderful as he even included all of the laughter, boo-hoos, applause, etc! I know it took some real WORK on his part to do that. - Ann -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!385!14!Ann.Stalnaker Internet: Ann.Stalnaker@f14.n385.z1.fidonet.org
