I think the subject is appropriate for this group, and that others are interested. But we have to have something to talk about. For all of the modellers out there who have dreamed of getting your own mini lathe or milling machine, the Sherline stuff is the way to go. They are not toys. By the way, buy direct from Sherline in San Diego. Micro-Mark doesn't stock them, they "drop ship" them. And they charge more than the manufacturer! I always thought mail-order was supposed to be cheap! [Micro Mark is only good if you can't get something anywhere else.] When you are interested in working on designing and building your own ideas, there is nothing like having a little machine shop in your basement. --J Gregory
