Lines: 26 I seem to have a problem with my mailer, and would appreciate some help. First of all, I'm running ISC (Unix System V, Release 3.2). The situation is as follows: The name of my machine is jgaltstl. As you should be able to see in the header of this message, the Message-Id should show me as jgaltstl.UUCP. Okay, so far. However, when I send a mail message (mailx), the Message-Id truncates the 'stl' part of my machine name. For instance, I looked at a recent mail message, which had the following id: 9002110121.AA04037@jgalt.UUCP I believe this truncation is causing some problems, but I am not sure. So, I really have two questions: 1) Why is this happening? 2) What is the fix? -- |---------------------------------------------------------------------| | Terry Linhardt uunet!jgaltstl!terry (314) 772-4762 | |The Lafayette Group P.O.
