	I'm sorry if this is not the correct news group for my question 
but it is related to electronics.

	Does anybody know about laser-doppler-vibrometers? Can they be 
bought 'off the shelf' or does one have to buy the compoent parts and 
spend years trying to get the thing to work? What suppliers should I 
contact?

	As you may have guessed, I'm a novice in the area of optics
so any help would be gladly taken.
