The pex sample implemention is being done by Sun Microsystems and is being funded by a consortium of sponsors. Sun began work on the sample implementation just over a year ago and is funded for a two year development effort. The sponsoring companies has access to pre-releases of the work in progress as part of their reward for funding the development effort. Pex will not be distributed by MIT until the development is finished, right now it appears as if this will be 1st quarter 1991. -- John Dennis E Mail: johnd@Stardent.COM | {uunet, convex, decvax}!stardent!johnd Snail Mail: Stardent Computer, 85 Wells Avenue Newton, MA 02159 Voice Mail: (617) 964-6228 x243 (508)366-7976
