( BirliX is a distributed operating system with a UNIX 4.3 emulation, support for checkpointing and some support to built securable systems on top of it.) Alltogether it is 200000+ lines of M2, appr. 350 M2 Modules (X.md and X.mi count as one). We were among the first users and experienced and helped to remove some "Kinderkrankheiten". But now we are quite happy with it. A group at TH Darmstadt is about to move BirliX to a i386 based machine and had to retarget MOCKA first. They did it in appr. 2.5 months. email: emmel@karlsruhe.gmd.dbp.de > > As a side issue, I notice that this blurb claims that "Modula-2 is > a trademark of Interface Technologies Corporation".
