Message-ID: <1990Feb17.022132.25226@chinet.chi.il.us> Date: 17 Feb 90 02:21:32 GMT Organization: Chinet - Chicago Public Access UNIX Lines: 10 I recall a lot of discussion prior to 1.5.0 about the max size of a hard disk partition under minix. I recall there was an 8mb limit. I've just gotten a zenith turbosport luggable with a 40mb drive and would like to dedicate about half of it to minix. Not thinking ahead, I made the DOS partition half the disk. If I put a minix boot in one of the remaining three partitions and minix filesystems in the other two, at least one of the minix filesystem partitions would be over 8mb. Am I getting myself in trouble here? Is it OK to make a minix filesystem over 8mb (8192 blocks)? What is the upper limit?
