I've recently heard that Western Digital has revised their old 
Ethernet card for PCs, the WD8003E.  The new card is programmable
rather than having jumpers to select how it operates.
I've also heard that the new board is incompatible with NCSA Telnet.

Is any of this true?  Is the new board compatible with PC-NFS 3.0.1?
