I too said I would never buy anything else from this author, yet I too bought Ultra card. I am really dissatisfied. I agree that this sort of crap gives the Amiga a bad name, and I am sorry that I supported it. Probably this has been suggested before, but I really wish some sort of independant screening or certification agency could be set up, just to certify the basics, like: can you run it for 10 minutes without visiting the guru? Does it do what it claims? Does it multitask properly? Will it run on 68010 -20 -30? It seems to me that such an agency, were it really impartial, would serve the interests of almost all concerned; the users, CBM, reputable software authors, etc... I guess the only people who inconvenienced would be people who write garbage like Ultracard and Maxicomm. Speaking as a many - times - burned software buyer, I would pay close attention to the opinions of an agency that did some basic testing reliably and impartially. I would certainly pay a few dollars extra to have such an agency's stamp of certification on my software purchases. >| // Larry Phillips | >| \X/ lphillips@lpami.wimsey.bc.ca -or- uunet!van-bc!lpami!lphillips | >| COMPUSERVE: 76703,4322 -or- 76703.4322@compuserve.com | >+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ Phil Nelson at (but not speaking for) OnTyme:NSC.P/Nelson BT Tymnet Voice:408-922-7508 UUCP:{pyramid|ames}oliveb!tymix!pnelson LRV:Component Station How 'bout those World Champion Oakland A's!!!
