While at DevCon, I talked with a friend from Denmark who has his no problems at all with his Kronos/DSB combination. He said that it didn't work originally (a la problems reported here and elsewhere) but he said that after making sure the Kronos did not use interrupts and increasing the number of disk buffers for each Kronos partition, the problem went away.
