I recently purchased a new monitor supposing that it would be :compatible with my Amiga 500. From the specs, I thought it would work, :but when I connected it up, all that I get is a black screen. It looks like a good :monitor. Swival Base and all. It only cost me $430 plus COD. Did I get :stuck? It looks as if you may not be buffering the HSYNC and VSYNC lines. The Amiga expects these signals to be driven if there's a genlock attached. If there's a genlock attached, then Amiga expects an external clock, and switches over to that clock. Since you don't have the clock there, the machine doesn't run. Buffer those two with something like a 74HC08 and you'll be all set! :Your help will be appreciated. : :========================================================================== : Lekarz THE //\/\ //| \ / # Max Derhak (derhak@cs.utah.edu) :^: : od \\ // \ //-| X # After all is said and done, a heck of : Raju! \X/ \// | / \ o a lot more is said and done. - Murphy -- -Bill Seymour ...tektronix!reed!percival!agora!billsey ============================================================================= Bejed, Inc.
