Mt. View, Ca. Lines: 40 I have a Ronin Hurricane board for my A1000. In case you don't know what this is, it's a 68020/68881 board that replaces the 68000. I have had great success with this board (once I grounded the infamous PALS), and I really like the speed (almost like my old 3/50 at work). Now I'd like to upgrade the 68020 to a 68030. In the documentation I have, it says that there is an upgrade to do this, and since the pinouts on the chips don't seem to match, it would appear I can't just replace chips. Anyway, my questions: 1) Does anyone know of this option? 2) Does anyone know if Ronin (which I believe is not Ronin anymore) still manufactures it? 3) If not, then is there another company with a product that could do this? and the most important one: 4) Does anyone have any experience with this? I believe that AmigaDOS will handle a 68030 (which is one of the things I like about the OS) and I realize that CBM has an 030 board for the 2000, but has anyone acually replaced an 020 with an 030? Thanks for any info, Mike -- Mike Sullivan Internet: msullivan@Ebay.Sun.COM Sun Education UUCP: ..!sun!yavin!msullivan Compuserve: 75365,764 ------------------------------------------------------------------ "Women are the most powerful magnets in the universe, and all men are cheap metal." -- Larry Miller ------------------------------------------------------------------
