This message means that a portion of your disk has been "destroyed"; i.e., either the formatting has been corrupted, the area has been physically altered (unlikely-->head crash?), or the data has been overwritten erroneously. These problems typically appear after a power failure, electrical storms, etc., where electrical problems get transmitted through the disk head(s) to the disk surface. The best solution is to offload your disk, run DEX and/or FBS to locate any "new" badspots, run INVOL and reload your data. An alternate solution is to rename the file(s) showing as "bad" in the error log files to some unused name (like badspotx), and add the disk block(s) to the INVOL bad sector list. On the other hand, your disk drive may be on the verge of needing replacement, as some CDC and Tecstor disks start showing these errors more and more frequently before failure.
