Apple _still_ hasn't put a dedicated graphics cpu in the Macs yet, even though it is _graphics_ based. Instead, they just push the cpu speed up, and call that good. I really get the impression that politics play a _major_ part at apple. You can sure tell the engineers aren't running the company.
