When doing benchmarks, it is also VERY important to consider
the C COMPILER..

Also, the 680x0 was designed to let higher level languages
take better advantage of the CPU.. with say Link and Unlink
commands.

So, if you want to compare the 65816 with the 680x0, do it
at the same level -- Assembly.

An assembly comparison would be a much more accurate comparison.
