The big problem I came up against was that the Apple IIe Technical Reference Manual says the video ROM is a 2333. I couldn't find an EPROM equivalent 2733 anywhere, so I decided to try a 2732. The thing works! Now I want to know if (1) Apple made a typo in several places in the manual or (2) if I'm missing something. Text and graphics work as well as they always have. Of course, I could be missing something else, that (3) the 2333 is a variant of the 2332, which is the ROM equivalent of the 2732 EPROM. Any answers from Apple's hardware gurus (or anyone else) on this thing? Thanx in advance!
