(Explanations anyone?) It affects comp.sys.atari.8-bit not at all. To my knowledge, there has not been any proposal to issue a rmgroup for this newsgroup. I try to keep a close eye on news.admin, news.sysadmin and news.announce.newgroups. (I dropped news.groups during the alt.fishies flame wars, so almost anything could be there and I might not know about it.) It may be that the number of systems carrying the group is shrinking because system administrators don't think it's worth carrying, but that's another matter. No site is ever forced to carry any newsgroup.
