I would really like to do this to save space and use more reliable disks. Someone told me you can hook up the old Percom DSDD drive to a 3 1/2" unit and it would work (although, they had not done it to prove that...) Would that work, how are the old percom units as DSDD 5 1/2" drives ? Are they more reliable (I haven't had too many reliablity probs, but...) I am very interested in doing this, but would like someone to tell me how to do it (please don't tell me to buy a XF551 drive...I can't justify the expendature...unless you got one for sale cheap...)
