Keywords: ATR8000, CPM, ATARI, DISK Message-ID: <3734@uafhp.uark.edu> Date: 20 Feb 90 02:33:03 GMT Sender: netnews@uafhp.uark.edu Followup-To: comp.sys.atari.8bit Organization: College of Engineering, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville Lines: 25 I recently acquired a ATR 8000 system w/ a 64k Atari 800. This system is a CP/M 2.2 system with a special interface allowing it to be used as disk drives for the Atari and as a CP/M system using the Atari as a terminal. My problem is that I can't get it to boot. I've got two 8-inch drives and one 5 1/4" drive hooked up. The drives come on when I hook up the power, but all I get on the Atari is a BOOT ERROR message. I've gone through the manual, checking to make sure that I have the drives configured correctly. The 8 inch drives are on the "end" of the drive cable. I've got the 5 1/4" drive configured as drive 1 and the 8's as 2 and 3. I've got several boot disks, but I can't get any of them to do anything but give me a BOOT ERROR. Any help would be apperciated. Is SWP products, the manufacturer still in business?
