The main answer is to squeeze out the non-serious developers. I doubt that Atari even broke even at $100 for its new support. Remember, developers can buy Atari Hardware and the MWC compiler at a discount, as well. That plus the "freevies" they thrown in as of late makes it a good deal, even at $250. Howard C.
