I'm trying to figure out a good way to estimate this besides doing a lot of real-word "look at Joe's hard drive and find out" type stuff. I had thought that perhaps someone had already tackled this problem, but I can't find anything. Any pointers what-so-ever would be greatly appreciated. BTW, my current estimate is around 8-12 Kbytes. Note that I am really only interested in files that are written often (such as wp-files and other data files). This is because I am trying to decide how big to make a write-cache. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David T.
