An 87Hz frame rate makes a BIG difference.  I'm quite sensitive to flicker,
but don't notice any flicker at all in 1024x768 even with a completely white
screen on a Gateway2000 "CrystalScan 1024".  However, the 56Hz frame rate in
800x600 mode is very flickery on bright displays.
