    I am having difficulty transfering 8-bit files over Kermit.  I am Running
MacKermit and communicating to MTU's IBM VMS Kermit.  The apparent problem is
that the 8th bit is getting clipped.

    Is there a VMS Software package for converting 8-bit to 7-bit, or a better
terminal emulator with a Kermit protocol?
