The documentation doesn't mention it, because it doesn't do it. However, there is a shareware package called WordRef (the current released version is 1.3) which does exactly that. It is available for anonymous ftp from sumex and also appeared in comp.sys.mac a while back. If you have trouble finding it, mail me and I'll send it directly to you. >(Sometimes I think I should stick with LaTeX!).
