Summary: IIx slowing down when network attatched. Keywords: IIx Localtalk slow Message-ID: <1223@carroll1.cc.edu> Date: 19 Feb 90 15:36:11 GMT Reply-To: derek@carroll1.cc.edu (Derek Inksetter) Organization: Carroll College Dept. of Artificial Stupidity Lines: 18 The Mac IIx in our computer center's Mac lab is acting very strange. When it's not connected to our localtalk network, (i.e. cable pulled out, appletalk turned off, etc.) it works fine. WHen the network is connected and turned on, though, things get slow. For some reason, when trying to access anything, it gets bogged down with network access, and it takes forever to do the simplest tasks. This is even when accessing local storage, so it's not just that the file server is bogged down. We're not too sure what the problem is, so any help would be appreciated. derek -- .sig file closed for repairs--No thru traffic
