I don't like the new System Installer. Primarily, I don't like the fact that I can't figure what to put on a hard disk volume so that I can do installations for any machine onto floppies without swapping disks in and out of my own floppy drive. On one hand, it means I can remove the Installer partition from my drive and get some more space, but on the other hand installations are going to be a pain from here on out. I was also pretty peeved when the Installer appeared to be replacing my Scrapbook, but was later relieved to find out that it wasn't. Finally, I don't like the way that I actually have to scroll the Custom installation list a few pages before I arrive at the SE/30 option. What was so terrible about the Installer the way it was? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pete Gontier | InterNet: 6600pete@ucsbuxa.ucsb.edu, BitNet: 6600pete@ucsbuxa Editor, Macker | Online Macintosh Programming Journal; mail for subscription Hire this kid | Mac, DOS, C, Pascal, asm, excellent communication skills
