  This is probably an old question but I would like some opinions on
the following question:

 Is hypercard hypertext?

In a conference in 1987, the general consensus of the people
attending was that hypercard was not '"really" hypertext
because of its limited possibilities for associating links
with words'. This seems a bit of a half answer.
  Yet to my knowledge there is no conclusive definite reasoning
as to if it is or isn't. Opinions, please.
