I agree that this would be very useful. You wouldn't have to get used to different editors for SuperCard, HyperCard, your communications program, your programming language, etc. Maybe this could be handled with the InterApplication Communincations package in System 7.0. Although I'm not sure how you could handle application-specific things such as the pop-up scripting menus in SuperCard and PLUS. Or something like putting the cursor on the offending line in a source file when an error occurs. Claris is making a big push towards small, integrateable utilities; maybe this is another avenue in that area worth pursuing.
