I need to take  a snapshot of the screen, to include in my thesis.

Is there anyway to make a screen dump to a file (in PostScript ??)?

If you know of any archive with FTP access that has such a program, please 
let me know.
I had to remove our 4Dgifts directory, for lack of space. Is there such a 
program in there?
