Everyone knows Katyn by now, but no one seems to mention some 50,000 Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian army officers executed in 1940. FYI, in the '30s and '40's it was considered a real faux pax in the liberal circles to question that Stalin was really a good guy. Ahem. More later, anyway. D
