Lines: 24 Approved: shell@uklirb.uucp Posted-Date: Fri Feb 23 10:48:55 GMT 1990 Has anyone had any experience with expert system shells that can be run on a Mac and used by those who are not professional knowledge engineers? Aston University is encouraging as many people as possible to try developing small expert systems to help their own work (admin, teaching and research). It has chosen XiPlus for those with PCs, but we also need a fairly simple shell that runs on the Mac, since nearly all the University administrators, and many academics use Macs. (There are only a limited number of students who could develop systems in Prolog+Flex, or Hypercard+Prolog, so we need a shell.) Please could you mail any suggestions to me at newmandr@aston.ac.uk ----- Dave Newman, Aston University, Computing Services, BIRMINGHAM B4 7ET, England.
