We have a program that executes a (very) complex SQL query using
Embedded SQL. It fails with SQL Error -242/C-ISAM error -24 which
conforms to DOS error "Too many open files".

Incrementing 'files=' in CONFIG.SYS does not seem to affect Informix,
we currently have it set to 128.

Does anyone have a clue on how to get Informix to have more open files?
Is there a upper limit on number of open files per (DOS-)process?  Can
it be changed?
