Message-ID: <854@edstip.EDS.COM> Date: 21 Feb 90 22:05:41 GMT Organization: EDS - Tech Pubs, Bloomfield Hills, MI Lines: 15 I am going to buy a 2400 baud modem for my AT clone at home. I want an external one so I can shut it off without rebooting. I have been looking in BYTE magazine for one. There are a lot of different brands and prices. I would like to buy one that dosen't cost a lot, but also work well. I have read some of the other postings, and the use of MNP comes up a lot. What's MNP? Do I need it? Any help would be helpfull. What are good modems, what are bad ones, places that have good prices, features that are nice, features that arn't used. -- /~~| |\ |\ John W.
