 I agree -- the control systems that we have in place here all compile 
 themselves upon start-up.  It only takes a minute or two for a large 
 system. 

 Another approach, if the system allows saving itself, is to load in the 
 "libraries" that you would need, then save the system at that point and 
 do your development with the saved system.
