Message-ID: <9002232221.AA04193@crayola.cs.UMD.EDU> Date: 14 Feb 90 19:48:11 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: University of Maine System Lines: 14 Approved: laser-lovers@brillig.umd.edu I've more than once wished, when printing large documents, that we had a PostScript printer that was capable of printing in duplex mode, i.e. on both sides of a sheet of paper. Obviously it is possible to construct such a machine, as there are laser photo-copiers that can produce duplex copies. If anything, it should be easier to construct such a beast than to produce a copier that can do this (no scanners, feeders or collaters needed). Naturally, I can run the printer output through a copier to make it duplex, but that wastes paper, toner, and my time and makes for inferior quality. It's pretty much not an option for a 650 page document. Michael Johnson University of Maine System Computing and Data Processing Services
