A PostScript emulator is a program written by someone other than Adobe that attempts to implement the language described in the "PostScript Language Reference Manual" (often called the Red Book). We have a 5320 and a 7320. I have used PostScript on them but not with ledger paper. We have had only one problem involving compatability with the Adobe interpreter. The Imagen emulator does not support the proprietary format Adobe uses for downloadable fonts (this format is not part of the language specified in the Red Book). Since we bought the Imagen printers Imagen has been acquired by QMS. Business dealings with QMS have been a consistent problem. QMS is not very good at things like returning telephone calls and shipping the right merchandise on the promised ship date. The Nissho Electronics LN-2248B is advertised as supporting ledger paper and a PostScript emulator. It is also advertised as being able to support the proprietary font format mentioned above. I have no hands-on experience with this printer.
