Is the reason for lorder/tsort's continued failure to order a library a basic mathematical snag, or is it due to the current implementation? Libraries are needed quite early on in program development, yet these programs are still being patched. I had them working under 1.3, but not now - and understanding them is way beyond me. Anyhow, they return a library order at which various programs barf, and ast's 1.5.0 library order posting doesn't contain some of the new library routines. All but six programs compile using the old order, so until some more skillful person comes up with a library order, I'll have to leave those six alone. All the rest of /usr/bin compiles ok; compress gives its usual pointer warning. Fs and mm are no problem; only the makefiles need changing to produce the symbol tables needed by the new ps. The new init can't find login, if its not in /bin. (Mine's in the alternate, /usr/bin). Mined1.cdif is empty; which may or may not be as intended.
