After inspecting the new posting of 1.5.3 mined1.c with fluoroscope and
gyroscope it appears to be identical to the 1.5.0 posting, except for 
the absence of the commented out #define COMPAT statement on the third
line. (This is needed for the atari version).
 
This may or may not be a coincidence.
