I've seen that sales and spec sheets for the Imprimis 1.2gb drive, but when I went to buy one, I was told that they aren't ready yet. I'd like to know if anyone has worked with real hardware and has a feel as to whether one should still attempt to optimize the order of i/o requests to such beasts or not. In a perfect world, I would assume not, as only the drive knows the optimal order of servicing, say, a queue of 16 requests.. -matt jacob Sun Microsystems
