    I just traded in my 1000 for a 2000 and I was wondering if I could install
one of my external drives in the spare 3.5" slot in the 2000.  I have a 
California Access 880 and CA 1010.   I discovered that the CA-880 uses only +5V
power from the external drive connector and the 1010 uses both +5 and +12V.  The
internal power connector has both +5 and +12.  What I was wondering was, is the
cable provided for the other internal drive compatible with the external drives
or not.  I also found that a jumper has to be closed, J301 I think to tell of 
the existence of DF1:. ANy help or suggestions would be appreciated.
